Dental Bridges Stow MA
Are you looking for a dental bridge in Stow to replace missing teeth? At Stow Acres Family Dental, our experienced dental team, led by Kate McPherson, DDS, specializes in providing custom dental bridges that restore your smile’s appearance and function. We provide dental bridge work Stow residents can rely on to look and feel natural.
A dental bridge Stow patients receive from us is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. It works by anchoring an artificial tooth (a pontic) to the adjacent natural teeth or dental implants. If you have missing teeth, a dental bridge is one of several teeth replacement options we offer.

Happy PatientGoogle Review

When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, Dr. McPherson always confidently answered, “A dentist, of course.” Growing up in Raleigh, North Carolina, she admired her family dentist and the way he treated every patient as if they were a close friend or family member. She aspired to be a dentist and carry on the same philosophy of patient care in her practice.
Dr. McPherson graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She then continued her education at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where she earned her DDS degree. With a desire to further her education and acquire more experience treating patients with special healthcare needs, Dr. McPherson traded the warm North Carolina weather for a General Practice Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. During this program, she worked at several Harvard-affiliated institutions, where she gained advanced experience in clinical and emergency dentistry.

Benefits of a Dental Bridge in Stow
A dental bridge from Stow Acres Family Dental in Stow offers several advantages:
- Restores your smile: Bridges fill the gap left by missing teeth, giving you back a full, confident smile.
- Restores oral function: A dental bridge helps you properly chew, speak, and bite, maintaining good oral function.
- Maintains facial structure: By preventing the adjacent teeth from shifting, a bridge helps maintain your natural face shape.
- Distributes bite force: Dental bridges evenly distribute the forces of your bite, which helps protect your remaining teeth.
- Prevents adjacent teeth from drifting: Bridges prevent your existing teeth from moving into the space left by missing teeth.
Types of Dental Bridges Stow
At our Stow dental practice, we offer several types of dental bridges to meet the individual needs of our patients:
- Traditional Fixed Bridge: This is the most common type of dental bridge. It involves placing dental crowns on the abutment teeth (the teeth adjacent to the gap) to support the pontic.
- Cantilever Bridge: A cantilever bridge is used when there are adjacent teeth on only one side of the missing tooth.
- Implant-Supported Bridge: For even greater stability, an implant-supported bridge uses dental implants instead of natural teeth to support the bridge.
The Dental Bridge Process at Stow Acres Family Dental
The process of getting a dental bridge at our Stow clinic typically involves several steps:
- Initial Consultation: During your first visit at our dental clinic on Great Rd, Dr. McPherson will examine your oral health, discuss your smile goals, and determine if a dental bridge is the right solution for you.
- Preparation of Abutment Teeth: The abutment teeth are prepared to receive the dental crowns. This usually involves recontouring these teeth by removing a small portion of the enamel.
- Impressions: Our dental team will take impressions of your teeth. These impressions are used to create a precise model for the dental lab, which will fabricate your custom dental bridge.
- Bridge Placement: Once the bridge is fabricated, you’ll return to our 01775 dental office. Kate McPherson, DDS will carefully fit, adjust, and cement the bridge into place.
Dental Bridge Cost Stow
The total cost of a dental bridge in Stow can vary depending on several factors, including:
- Type of bridge

At Stow Acres Family Dental, we are committed to providing affordable dental bridges Stow residents can rely on. We offer a variety of payment options to help make your treatment fit your budget. Call our office at 978-209-0825 to discuss the cost of a dental bridge.
