Kate McPherson, DDS
Dr. McPherson graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She then continued her education at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where she earned her DDS degree. With a desire to further her education and acquire more experience treating patients with special healthcare needs, Dr. McPherson traded the warm North Carolina weather for a General Practice Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. During this program, she worked at several Harvard-affiliated institutions, where she gained advanced experience in clinical and emergency dentistry.
Despite the cold winters, Dr. McPherson fell in love with the Northeast and decided to make it her permanent home. She is involved with the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) and the American Dental Association (ADA). She is passionate about dental advocacy and ensuring that all patients have reasonable access to healthcare. This led her to serve with both the ADA and MDS on their government affairs committees. She is also committed to advancing her education through frequent continuing education courses and professional affiliations with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) and CDOCS.
Outside of the office, Dr. McPherson loves traveling with her husband, Cody, and two dogs, Ollie and Addy. She has also recently taken up golf, which she describes as a love-hate relationship (feel free to offer any advice).
Lis – Dental Billing Consultant
Our practice is proud to partner with LP Dental Billing Solutions to ensure a seamless and transparent financial experience for our patients. Led by Lis Pazos, an expert with over 20 years of experience (including roles at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and MGH Dental Group), this dedicated team manages all aspects of our dental billing.
Lis and Dr. McPherson first met while Dr. McPherson was completing her residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. During that time, Lis managed billing operations for a large team of dental attendings and residents, earning a reputation for her efficiency, professionalism, and dedication to patient care behind the scenes. Dr. McPherson is thrilled that they reconnected years later and that Lis has joined the team, bringing her knowledge, warmth, and experience to the practice.
Elena – Dental Assistant
Elena received her bachelor’s degree in public health from Worcester State University with a minor in Biology. She had worked primarily in Stem Cell Research and storage. She was always interested in how oral health and dentistry relate to overall health. She embarked on her dental career at Stow Acres Family Dental where she has become extremely proud to be a part of such a dynamic team of professionals. Elena has become an integral part of Stow Acres Family Dental in her role as Dental Assistant. She is quick to adapt to changes and is fully prepared to have the treatment rooms ready. She is passionate about all aspects of dentistry and loves assisting. In addition to her duties as a dental assistant, she assists in any role needed to make sure patient comfort and care is achieved.
In her free time, she loves to read, go to the gym and considers herself a “foodie” trying all types of cuisine!

We’re excited to welcome Abby to the Stow Acres Family Dental team! With over five years of customer service experience, Abby brings warmth, professionalism, and a genuine passion for helping people at our front desk. Her friendly personality and attention to detail ensures every patient feels comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. Abby loves being a part of the dental field and enjoys helping patients have a smooth, positive experience during their visits.
Outside the office she enjoys spending time with family, exploring new restaurants, and participating in outdoor activities.
